The all-time horror classic "The Exorcist" is heading to Broadway with 80s teen star Brooke Shields starring as possessed girl's movie star mother Chris MacNeil and Richard Chamberlain as Father Merrin! I am not making it up. And it sounds as if the play will NOT have projectile vomiting or spinning heads (Huh?). I wonder if it's a musical (a la Stephen King's failed musical "Carrie")??? Oooo this sounds destined to be awful. I wish i could see it. Here's a link with more info:

Donna Summer, the singer who came to be known as the �Queen of Disco� during her 1970s heyday, died today after battling cancer, a family member confirmed to ABC News. She was 63.

In a statement to the Associated Press, her family said they �are at peace celebrating her extraordinary life and her continued legacy.� �Words truly can�t express how much we appreciate your prayers and love for our family at this sensitive time,� they added.

Summer was a five time Grammy award winner who was the first artist to have three consecutive double albums reach No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard chart. Her hits like �Last Dance,� �Bad Girls,� and �Love to Love You Baby� made her a disco icon.

Born outside of Boston, Summer was raised by devout Christian parents who introduced her to both gospel and classical music. In a 2008 interview with ABC News� �Nightline,� Summer remembered her mom singing songs to her before going to bed each night.

�As long as the classical station was playing on the radio, I wouldn�t cry,� she said. �If it was on for 20 hours, I would sleep for 20 hours. I would be calm. So I think that my mother probably helped my sense of musicality just by doing that.�

Summer left home at age 18 to audition for the Broadway production of �Hair� and got a role in the show when it moved to Germany. There, she met producer Giorgio Moroder, who would launch her solo career. She went on to produce hits like �Bad Girls,� �Last Dance,� and �She Works Hard for the Money,� a song that was inspired by a washroom attendant.

�I was at a Grammys party � and I went to the ladies room and on my way in I saw this little old lady sitting at the end of the bar. And she was asleep,� Summer told �Nightline.� �She was the bathroom attendant. And at that same moment, a group of ladies walked into the room and started spraying their hair and doing all these things. And my first thought was �God, she works hard for her money, that lady.�

�And then I thought, �man, that�s a song,�� she said. �So I went and grabbed my manager and we went back into the bathroom and started writing the song on a piece of toilet paper.�

Summer�s last album, �Crayons,� was released in 2008. In 2010, she told AllVoices.com that she was working on an album of disco standards.

Summer is survived by her husband, Bruce Sudano, three children, and four grandchildren.

Legendary disco singer Donna Summer died Thursday after a battle with cancer, sources close to the singer confirmed to FoxNews.com. She was 63.

"Early this morning, we lost Donna Summer Sudano, a woman of many gifts, the greatest being her faith," family of the singer said in a statement.

"While we grieve her passing, we are at peace celebrating her extraordinary life and her continued legacy. Words truly can't express how much we appreciate your prayers and love for our family at this sensitive time."

Often called the Queen of Disco, Summer was born LaDonna Adrian Gaines on Dec. 31, 1948, in Boston. She began singing early in the church choir and by her teens had formed several musical groups.

Her sound was a mix of genres, and helped her earn Grammy Awards in the dance, rock, R&B and inspirational categories.

Her first album, "Lady of the Night," arrived in 1974 in Europe, and 1975's "Love to Love You Baby" brought her worldwide fame.

In the 1978 disco film "Thank God it's Friday," her song "Last Dance" won Summer her first Grammy.

Summer's soaring vocals on "She Works Hard for the Money" brought her a Best Pop Vocal Performance Award in 1984.

In the mid-1980s, Summer encountered controversy when she was accused of making anti-gay comments related to AIDS. She claimed she had been misquoted but not before thousands of her records were returned and dance clubs boycotted her music.

Summer holds the record for most consecutive double albums to hit number one on the Billboard charts (three) and was the first female to have four number one singles in a 12-month period: three as a solo artist and one as a duo with Barbra Streisand, CBS said.

She released her last album, "Crayons," in 2008. She also performed on "American Idol" that year with its top female contestants.

I felt as if I needed to make this thread. I'm telling you, heartbreak is the most awful thing. To have the love of your life, everything going good and then bam something happens and you break up and the person ends up with someone else and you try and get that person back but they tell you to go on with your life. Well I did just that, and when i was over it i get an email saying he loves me and wants me to come get him but ive no clue where he is.. and its been 2 weeks and havent heard nothing. Ive heard from elsewhere that his girl broke his computer...im sick of sitting here wondering if he will ever call me or email me again.. theres libraries, there still is payphones. I'm so tired of hurting. If he freaking loved me he wouldnt be doing this. I'm sick of the games and the lies. I've done all I can for him.. he just brings me down again and again. I want to get over him so badly.. but it is so hard. I've known him for 13 years. I need to go on with my life and i'm trying to be strong.. i cant talk to no one about this because all they do is bring me down.... its driving me crazy.. what is he trying to accomplish here?
